In Vietnamese, the expressions for hurt and love converge under a single word: "thương."
In my project, "What is grief if not love persisting?” I examine the experience of grief as remnants of the love we once felt.
With reference to Félix González-Torres' "Untitled" (Perfect Lovers), the pair of clocks, much like people, gradually fall out of sync as time passes.

Yet, the title stands unchanged, because despite unfolding shifts and dissonance, the connection between two individuals will always remain.
I extend an invitation to viewers in this intimate space to reflect on the feelings that linger in the absence of others, to jot them down, fold them into hearts, and leave them behind, as a means to represent, by the end of the exhibition, all the love that persists inside of people.

This installation is a part of the 'DesignTO Youth: touchbase' group exhibition, showcased alongside nine other young artists and designers. Together, we present works that explore themes of identity, resilience, and cultural heritage.
